Fat Max Tape Mesure

I bought two Fat Max Tape Measures. The deal was good, fast shipping, great product.

Durable, well made tool

Without repeating the praise from previous reviewers for its standout and ease of use, I wish to note the exceptional durability of this tool. The Stanley Fat Max has a remarkable ability to survive falls. I have dropped this tape many times from up to 24 feet. Other than minor cosmetic blemishes, I find no visible damage to the tape measure after months of daily service in remodeling. The mechanism, tape, and mylar coating are also in very good condition after hard use.

In response to a previous reviewer's concern about using the Fat Max in harsh weather, I use my tape regularly for masonry work and other tasks which expose the tool to moisture. I have yet to see signs of corrosion or deterioration of the mechanism. Worth the money, useful features, and tough as nails.

Who designed this?

I've been stymied trying to find the width of the Fat Max's body to calculate the total length. I measured it with another tape (irony) at 3 1/4" but wondered why there wasn't an indication on the housing. Finally, with my arm's-length near eyesight I found a molded legend that's almost covered by the belt clip. Pisspoor product design, but it's a Stanley tradition. Even with reading glasses its hard to read the reflective chrome plated numerals on earlier Stanley tapes I've owned. I wrote a big "+3 1/4" on the case with a Sharpie and vow to avoid Stanley products in the future.

Porter-Cable CFFN250N Finish & Brad Nailer Combo Kit

To be honest, we looked twice at the price, certain the folks at Amazon had made a mistake. But sure enough, they're right--and so is the price. Porter-Cable makes some of the best pneumatic tools in the industry, and these nailers are two prime examples. The 16-gauge is sturdy, compact, lighter and quieter than you'd expect with a grip even smaller hands can get around. Great balance, easy depth-of-drive adjustment, and a pleasure to use. Similarly, the 18-gauge is light but rugged, comfortable and maneuverable, even in awkward places or after long runs. Some other features we like: a special hardened driver blade, a sequential fire trigger, a visual reload indicator, a safety located behind the driver guide for driving brads in tight spaces and an easy-to-adjust depth guide. Both guns have directional exhausts, too. The pancake-style compressor has a six-gallon tank and easily runs both guns at the same time. It's light, portable and doesn't want much from you in terms of maintenance--it's oil-free and Teflon-coated. Some other reasons to like it: a high-flow regulator, an easy-to-read air pressure gauge, automatic thermal overload protection, an industrial-style quick-connect body in the air outlet, and a long-life motor with replaceable brushes. Great price on a very good starter kit !!!

The compressor works very well, considering the size, It's lite enough to carry anywhere, a little noisy, but not any worse than any other oiless compressor....the brad nailer & finish nailer worked flawless with this kit, A very good combo kit.

Excellent, sturdy kit

Started using this the day I got it. The compressor is powerful enough for an individual user. The nailers are great - plenty of power, plenty of control over just how much force to be used. Great value as well.

Damage in shipment.

The bottom portion of the sprayer had a piece of plastic broken. It is the Front Base Housing, part number W2FBHSG. I can replace this item if I had it. Do you send replacements for broken parts or do I call Gilmour? Please advise. William J. Cobb

Still working great a year later

Unlike other cheaper sprayers I have bought, this one is still as good as new after a year of hard use. I keep it filled with Roundup with the squirter end hanging squirt side up when not in use. I have never emptied or cleaned the container. It rolls and pressurizes easily on grass or rock but slides over concrete.

Before I got this sprayer, I had to tote around 1 gallon sprayers, refilling several times, to maintain my 8 acre property. Now I just fill this baby up once and pull it easily behind me.

Great Invention!

This thing is fantastic. no more stopping to pump, just fill and go. Although I have to admit that when full and pulling it accross a two acre lawn it can be pretty heavy. Overall though it works great.
